                            THE TOKEN HALL OF FAME

The Token Hall of Fame is where special tokens are showcased.  What qualifies for a listing in the Hall of Fame?  There are several criteria that is considered for a listing here:  rarity, appeal, uniqueness of design and/or history, just to name a few.  Everyone has a special token that is the center of their collection.  Why not submit it for consideration in the Hall of Fame?  Send any information you have along with a good, high resolution scan or photograph.  Remember, a candidate for the Hall of Fame must posses a "specialness" that sets it apart from other tokens.

Mines owned by Henry Ford.

This $1 token was struck in 1933 by the Osborne Register Company (ORCO) to replace a previously used Fordson dollar that was allegedly counterfeited.  Bearing the bust of Abraham Lincoln, this "new" dollar would have been extremely difficult to counterfeit.

Of the 13,000 originally struck, only three to five examples are known to exist today.
